Multi-analyte methods for chemical analysis in food: Quo Vadis

Prof. Amadeo R. Fernández-Alba is the Director of the EU Reference Laboratory for the control of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables (EURL-FV). He has participated as a researcher/director in more than 50 contracts with companies and more than 50 national and international research projects. He has supervised more than 40 PhD students and researchers from EU and non-EU countries. He is the Director and founder of the AGR 159 research group “Pesticide Residues” of the Junta de Andalucía. This group was founded in 1996 with the aim of promoting the commercialisation of Almeria products (fruit and vegetables) in Europe. He is the author of more than 300 articles in SCI-JCR journals related to quality, food safety and environmental protection against chemical contamination. His h-index is 65, and he has more than 12,000 citations. He has edited six books on pesticide residue control and food quality. He has participated in numerous international conferences, seminars and meetings. He has organized ten congresses and numerous national and international scientific/technical seminars. He is a member of several scientific-technical associations.
