There are various types of news bias, most of which play an important role in manipulating public perceptions of any event. Researchers frequently question the role of geographical location in attributing suchbiases.Tothatend,weintendtoinvestigatethe impact ofgeographical bias onnewssentimentsinrelatedarticles. As our case study, we use news articles collected from the Event Registry over two years about the Olympic legacy in London and Rio. Our experimental analysis reveals that geographical boundaries do have an impact on news sentiment.
