In the presentation emphasis will be given to describing the experience of the Students Department of the Russian Political Science Association in developing youth leadership in the region. It will also focus on the main problems in this sphere. The Students Department of the Russian Political Science Association was organized in 2006. There are now 30 regional branches and 10 research groups within it. The association organizes a huge number of conferences, seminars, and other events during the year. All of its members receive a news bulletin every two weeks. The association's annual award and journal are respected in the Russian political science sphere. The association is now also beginning the project of integrating Russian political science into the international academic process.
