Semantic Web & the Web of Data: when the link makes sense
The Web has evolved in many directions since its birth in 1990. One of them is called the semantic Web and relies on two major changes: the ability to identify everything on the Web and the ability to describe everything in a machine readable way. In this talk I will recall these changes and show how linked (open) data allow machines to access the Web more efficiently and support new applications in virtually any domain of activity.
