Our journey on winding road of cancer research

Tumors, experimental oncology, translational oncology and above all, immunology and biomarkers, these are issues that preoccupy us and Tamara and her team. The history repeats itself after certain time. I remember staring with immunology and biomarkers, more than 30 years ago, when I met Tamara that investigated the same topics. Nowadays, we have returned with slightly different aspect, but again investigating the immunologic effects of different therapies, modulating the immune response, and trying to find biomarkers for those individuals that respond to therapies and for those that do not. Obviously we have been bewitched by the work that we do, pursuing the winding road of cancer research, with ups and downs, but happy to be able to work for the benefit of patients.
