Co-Learning with AI: Leveraging Large Language Models as a Learning Companion for Teachers
While many educators have begun using generative AI to streamline routine tasks, this keynote explores a deeper potential: how large language models (LLMs) can serve as intelligent learning companions that support, personalize, and enrich teachers’ professional development, reflective practice, and instructional innovation. It will also address the ethical, pedagogical, and practical considerations of integrating AI into teacher learning. Central to this exploration is the role of teacher agency in shaping these AI companions and contributing to meaningful, productive dialogue in the co-learning process.
