1st Roadmapping Workshop "Semantics 2029", Vienna 2008
The focus of this first workshop will be "Semantics 2014". This is the easiest step and we can foresee much of this by looking at currently ongoing PhD theses, startups, and recently funded research projects.
The following questions could help in the preparation for this workshop:
How will the world look five years from now? Which set of major transformations can we expect from Semantic technologies? What is the role of Semantic technology in responding to current large societal challenges? Which new application areas could emerge from fusion of Semantics with other technologies and sciences?
