NAIXUS Research Seminars
The International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence under the auspices of UNESCO(IRCAI), the Network for Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge and SUStainable development(NAIXUS) host monthly hybrid research seminars highlighting the research outcomes on AIaccelerating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It provides theopportunity for researchers, PhD candidates, practitioners, policymakers, innovators, andinterdisciplinary scholars to share their research outcomes, bringingthe voices of AI4SD fromthe Global South and North-South to the IRCAI stage, at the Jozef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana,Slovenia (hybrid).This research seminar series explores how Artificial Intelligence can advance inclusive, ethical,human-centered,and sustainable development across sectors and regions. It promotesinterdisciplinary dialogue on technological innovation, societal impact, governance, ethics, andresponsible AI deployment, while fostering collaboration among academia, industry,policymakers, and international networks. The series aims to support cutting-edge research,capacity building, distributed research infrastructures, data-driven SDG monitoring, and practicalAI solutions with measurable societal impact that contribute to resilient, inclusive, andsustainable societies.
