Robert Malone

Robert A. Malone was named Chairman and President of BP America Inc. effective July 1, 2006. He is BP's chief representative in the United States. He is based in Houston, Texas where BP business units are involved in oil and natural gas exploration and production, refining, chemicals, supply and trading, pipeline operations, shipping and alternative energy. In the U.S., BP owns more than $40 billion in fixed assets and employs some 37,000 people. The company is the nation's largest producer of oil and natural gas and the second largest gasoline retailer. Malone has served on the California Climate Action Registry Board of Directors, the Board of the National Petroleum Council, and was a member of the Board of Regents for the University of Alaska system. He is on the Board for the Alliance to Save Energy, the Executive Committee for the American Petroleum Institute and is a member of the Business Roundtable Organization.
