John Winn

I am a researcher at [[http://research.microsoft.com/aboutmsr/labs/cambridge/|Microsoft Research, Cambridge]], in the [[http://research.microsoft.com/mlp/|Machine Learning and Perception group]]. My main [[http://johnwinn.org/Research/index.html|research interests]] are machine learning, machine vision and bioinformatics. Previously, I was a Ph.D. student in the [[http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/is/|Inference Group]] at the [[http://www.phy.cam.ac.uk/|Cavendish Laboratory]], supervised by [[http://research.microsoft.com/%7Ecmbishop/|Chris Bishop]] and [[http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/mackay/|David MacKay]]. I have also been a member of the [[http://www-sigproc.eng.cam.ac.uk/|Signal Processing Group]] at the [[http://www.eng.cam.ac.uk/|Engineering Department]] and the Learning and Vision Group at the [[http://www.ai.mit.edu/|MIT AI Lab]].
