Gustavo Carneiro

I am currently a visiting assistant professor at the Technical University of Lisbon (Instituto Superior Tecnico, Institute for Systems and Robotics) within the the Carnegie Mellon University-Portugal program (CMU-Portugal). Previously, I was a research scientist of the Integrated Data Systems Department at Siemens Corporate Research. I also worked as an NSERC Post-doctoral Fellow at the Laboratory of Computational Intelligence,CS department, UBC, with Professor David Lowe. Before that, I worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Statistical Visual Computing Lab, ECE department, UCSD with Professor Nuno Vasconcelos. I finished my Ph.D. at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Toronto under the supervision of Professor Allan Jepson in 2004.
