Carlo Colombo

Carlo Colombo was born in Bari, Italy, in 1966. He received the "laurea" (M.S.) degree cum laude in Electronic Engineering from the University of Florence, Italy and the "dottorato di ricerca" (Ph.D.) in Robotics at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Pisa, Italy, in 1992 and 1996, respectively. In 1994 he was a visiting scientist at the Laboratory of Fundamental Informatics and Artificial Intelligence LIFIA-IMAG, Polytechnic of Grenoble, France. In 1996 he joined the Dipartimento di Elettronica per l'Automazione of the University of Brescia, Italy, as a "ricercatore" (assistant professor). Since 2002 he is an associate professor at the Dipartimento di Sistemi e Informatica, Faculty of Engineering, University of Florence. His regular teaching activities at the Faculty of Engineering of Florence include computer architectures and computer vision. In April 2010 he was lecturer at the School of Photogrammetry, Computer Vision and Laser Scanning organized by the University of Udine, Italy. I
