Bharat Rao

Bharat Rao is a Partner / Director in the Advanced Analytics practice of Deloitte LLP, focusing on Health Care and Life Sciences Analytics. Prior to joining Deloitte FAS, Dr. Rao was the head of Knowledge Management and Health Analytics at Siemens Healthcare. Dr. Rao received his MS and PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. He has received many awards, including the ACM SIGKDD lifetime Service Award, 2011 for “contributions to society for pioneering applications of data mining,” is the only two-time winner of Data Mining Practice Prize for the best industrial and government data analytics solution deployment, and was awarded the Siemens Inventor of the Year. He is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences, has published 100 scholarly articles, one book, and has 60 patents.
