August de los Reyes

August de los Reyes is a Industry thought-leader and design visionary with 15+ years’ world-class experience in product development and multi-disciplinary user experience management including industrial, interaction, and visual design; user research; content publishing. For the past 7 years he has been working for Microsoft Corporation on various positions among other for two years as Principal Director for user experience for Microsoft Surface and Principal user experience manager for Windows. He is a grad­u­ate of the Advanced Studies Program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He was a Visiting Associate at the Oxford Internet Institute at the University of Oxford. He is a guest lecturer at the University of Washington, and at the University of Toronto. He is an author of a book, enti­tled The Poetics of Everyday Objects.
